Domain Conversions on the Fly
Domain conversion is an absolute requirement for any well planning and drilling, but it is also equally important to be able for geoscientists to work in time and depth domains simultaneously. Changes to the velocity model affects not only the depth of the target but also all other calculations (spill point, volumetrics, uncertainties, etc). By using the GPU to compute TZ-ZT-ZZ domain conversions on the fly users don't have to concern themselves with the distractions of having to manually perform domain conversion. Emerson's RMS Seismic product, as one example, relies on HueSpace for doing exactly that.
